Charges in Firestone factory accident

The Occupational Safety and Health Service (OSH) has laid charges today in relation to the death of a worker at Papanui Bridgestone Firestone factory in Christchurch.
The charges were laid under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992 following the death of Adam Hopkins in February this year.
Three charges have been laid under Section 50 of the HSE Act which relate to failing to provide a safe place of work.
