Review of the Department of Labour's interactions with Pike River Coal Limited

This internal operational review was requested by the Chief Executive of the Department of Labour and carried out on an independent basis. The Department assisted in its preparation by providing documentation we asked for and by making available any staff we wished to speak to. A number of former Departmental staff and other entities we believed had a contribution to make to the review were approached for their input. Most obliged and we have noted material exceptions.
