This map shows the six underground coal mines in New Zealand. The Huntley East mine near Huntley, the Burke's Creek mine near Reefton and the Roa and Spring Creek mines near Greymouth were not operational as at 24 December 2010. The Terrace mine near Reefton and the Pike River mine near Greymouth are not operational.
