My role is to help make the business more efficient through ICT and scope out new initiatives from a technical perspective. So I meet with different areas of our business, talk through their needs and then develop an action plan with my team. It means I get involved in a huge variety of projects from websites to developing bespoke software.
The Information Group has really grown over the last couple of years, and the size and scope of the Department mean there are plenty of opportunities to develop and move into different areas. During my three years here, I have moved from the operational side into a relationship management role.
Right now, we're involved with a huge project to upgrade the IT infrastructure across the whole department, so we are really busy. But I enjoy that kind of environment and the incredible support I get from my management team means I can thrive. In fact it's the same story across the organisation as a whole - people are really understanding and helpful.
