Consultation on new Industrial Rope Access Best Practice Guidelines
The deadline for submissions on the Industrial Rope Access Best Practice Guidelines closed on Friday, 9th April 2010. Review report under development.
The Department of Labour is seeking input on the new Industrial Rope Access Best Practice Guidelines. When completed, the Guideline will:
- include information about the rights and responsibilities of people under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992 and its subsequent amendments;
- reflect current good practice operating in within the industrial rope access and abseiling industry in New Zealand;
- ensure that the guidance material provided around this issue is consistent with other New Zealand documents; and
- ensure that New Zealand guidance documents reflect international best practice.
