It is important to the whole of society and economy over the long term that employers give children and young people the best start possible. This is why there are various means of support available to assist employers.
Work and Income provides wage and training subsidies to employers in some circumstances such as the Job Ops programme. The Job Ops and Community Max programmes are targeted to young people aged between 16 and 24.
