Mediation to take place in Ukrainian fishing crew pay dispute

The Department of Labour is assisting with a pay dispute on a Ukranian fishing vessel in Lyttelton Harbour, Canterbury.
A mediation provided by the Department of Labour is to take place tomorrow, with the parties' agreement.
Both the mediation itself and the outcome of the mediation will be confidential.
The Approval in Principle granted by the Department of Labour allowed the
use of foreign crew subject to them being paid at least the minimum wage
with no deductions.
