Workplace Exposure Standards updated

The Department of Labour has released its updated Workplace Exposure Standards (WES) document. The WES was updated to include references to hazardous substances under the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996. The 2010 edition replaces the 2002 (3rd) edition.
Exposure Standards for two hazardous substances have been amended: the Workplace Exposure Standard for Benzene; and the blood suspension level for Lead.
The format of the publication has also been simplified to make it more user-friendly.
