- Prior to restructuring, review employment agreements and job descriptions
- Commence consultation as soon as possible
- Develop proposed structure
- Distribute proposed structure to employees
- Consult over proposed structure.
- Consider feedback
- Consider voluntary redundancy

- Confirm new appointments/redeployment in writing.
- If jobs change significantly, renegotiate employment agreement
- Identify training needs
- Consider allowing time for job search/support for those leaving
- Develop and provide references
- Conduct exit interview (if appropriate)
- Collect company property
