Female labour market outcomes for the year to December 2007

In December 2007 the female working-age population (aged 15 years and over) was 1,671,500. Of theose 1,671,500, 1,034,800 or 61.9% were in the labour force and 636,800 or 38.1% were not. Of the 1,034,800 women in the labour force, 994,800 or 96.1% were employed and 40,000 or 3.9% were unemployed.
