In December 2006 the Pacific working age population (people 15 years of age and over) was 160,400. Of those 160,400 people, 99,900 or 62.3% were in the labour force and 60,500 or 37.7% were not in the labour force. Of the 99,900 pacific people in the labour force, 93,500 or 93.6% were employed and 6,400 or 6.4% were unemployed.
