The youth labour market for the year to June 2007 had a working-age population of 603,700. Of those 391,700 (64.9%) were in the labour force and 212,100 (35.1%) were not in the labour force. Of those in the labour force, 352,300 (90.0%) were employed and 39,300 (10.0%) were unemployed.
