Paul Chalmers

Paul Chalmers has a diverse background in both the union movement and business.

His union background included time as Education Director with one of the large unions in the mid '80s. He was responsible for a number of initiatives that looked at new ways of organising work in large companies.

Paul has worked as a consultant for large organisations (including Carter Holt Harvey Packaging and Plastics, Franklin District Council, Dominion Breweries and Bowron International) to investigate partnership processes. He owns Information Technology companies and an investment company.

Paul has a Masters in Philosophy, specialising in Performance Management, and has lectured on Human Resource Management at the University of Auckland's School of Business and the Otago University MBA programme.

He lives on the coast in Northland to be nearer to crayfish.
