Joint Problem-solving Training Toolkit
Adopting a joint problem-solving approach can help you work out more effective solutions to workplace issues and build a stronger workplace partnership. This training workshop is designed for employers and unions that want to improve their joint problem-solving skills and processes, and deal with workplace problems more constructively.

The training toolkit has everything you need
The toolkit has a clear and detailed training plan for you to use, and has everything you’ll need to run a 1–2 day interactive workshop on joint problem-solving, including:

• a trainer’s script, presentation notes, learning points and tips
• handouts, flip charts and optional PowerPoint presentation slides
• activities including role-plays, group work and case studies.

Run the workshop yourself or use a skilled facilitator
Using the toolkit, a union organiser and an employer representative can deliver the training with their own people, even if they’re not experienced trainers or joint problem-solvers.

If you feel more confident using an experienced trainer or facilitator, the Partnership Resource Centre can recommend facilitators who can deliver the workshop for you.
