Joint Problem-solving Training Toolkit
Who is this training for?
This training workshop has been developed for employers and unions who want to improve their joint problem-solving processes and skills while building a different kind of employment relationship. Using a joint problem-solving approach leads to lasting and effective solutions to workplace issues.
Who runs the workshop?
Using this toolkit, a union organiser and an employer representative can run the training with their own people, even if they are not experienced trainers or joint problem-solvers.
The Partnership Resource Centre can also recommend facilitators who can deliver the workshop for you.
What's in the package?
The package has a clear and detailed training process to use and includes everything you need to run the workshop, including:
- A trainer‘s "script", learning points and tips
- Handouts and optional power point slides
- Activities, including role-plays, small group work and case studies
We strongly recommend the two–day workshop, although we do provide a one–day workshop package for groups with very clear and constructive communication patterns and a strong history of positive problem resolution.
