Take Care

TV Advert Transcript

Open on a farmhouse.
We hear yelling from within – there is a shouting match going on.
Cut inside to find a boy of around 12 having a disagreement with his mum.

Ben: “It's the end of year party.”
Mum: “I said no.”
Ben: “Why can't I go? Everyone else is going.”
Mum: “I know it's disappointing honey but... I need you here!”
Ben: “Oh come-on, it's not fair, pleeeeeeeaaaaaasssssseeeeee”
Mum: “No, Ben, I’ve said no and that’s that!”
Ben: “You don’t understand, you never do… I’m going to talk to Dad!”

He slams the door as he walks out.

Cut to the mum who turns to the kitchen bench, bangs a bowl down on the bench, gives an audible sigh and hangs her head.

Cut back to find the young boy pacing up and down outside, in mid-conversation…

Ben: “…it’s like she never listens, she keeps on telling me what to do … why aren't you here Dad?…

Pull back to reveal the boy is standing by a grave.

A graphic appears as we pull back wide - the young boy stands alone by the headstone.
