Parental leave entitlements if delivery date earlier than anticipated

Does having a baby earlier than the expected delivery date affect parental leave entitlements?

Generally no. An employee or self-employed parent who meets eligibility criteria for parental leave is still eligible to take the parental leave and receive the paid parental leave payments even if the she gives birth to her baby prematurely.
